SENDCo

Are you an outstanding SENDCo? Do you have experience of leading on Inclusion? Are you a passionate practitioner with a genuine commitment to inclusive education and raising standards? If so we’d love to hear from you. Woodmancote School is a two form entry primary school. We are looking to recruit an aspiring SENDCo, to join our caring and supportive school community.

We are seeking to appoint a SENDCo to help us provide a supportive, stimulating environment and to share our high expectations of achievement for all our children. We have wonderful children and dedicated staff that go that extra mile every day.

Please be aware that whilst we are advertising for a 0.6 SENDCo, Grangefield School in Bishops Cleeve is also advertising for a 0.4 SENDCo. We would be interested to hear from anyone who would consider working full-time across both schools. Please make this clear when applying.

We are looking for a SENDCo who :

  • Has the knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs
  • Has experience in leading and managing staff in developing and implementing effective provision for vulnerable pupils.
  • Has good literacy and mathematical skills
  • Is hard working and adaptable to change
  • Has a secure understanding and knowledge of observing children’s learning
  • Can lead learning across the school ensuring exemplary provision for inclusion.
  • Is able to monitor pupil progress, ensuring achievement.
  • Has knowledge & understanding of record preparation and keeping in relation to SEND pupils
  • Shows evidence of leading on an impact that has improved pupil outcomes.

Woodpeckers Playworker

Our school is looking for an enthusiastic and well organised Playworker to help at our popular Before and After school Club.  You will need to be passionate about providing stimulating, age related play opportunities for our children and be able to work within a team after school hours.

Essential skills/qualities:

– Experience working with children
– A positive, creative attitude towards children
– An understanding of child protection and safeguarding
– An awareness of basic health and safety issues

Desirable skills / qualities:

– Experience of working in a play setting with children aged 4-11
– Playwork or equivalent qualification level 2 or above
– Paediatric First Aid Qualification
– Food hygiene level 2
– Arts/creative skills

Hours: 3-6pm (Monday-Friday term time only)

Days may be negotiable for the right candidate

Grade C (pts 7-11) £16,495 – £17,007 pa pro rata
