Year 4 recently had a fantastic day celebrating all things ‘Ancient Greek’!
The children came to school dressed in fantastic costumes, ranging from togas, gods and godessess and even the odd Minatour!
We spent the morning tasting and making Greek food, or working on different actvities such as Greek language, pot design, Greek maths and designing Greek board games! For lunch, we had a delicious Greek feast, which the children (and teachers!) loved.
In the afternoon, to follow from our Literacy unit earlier in the year, the children were treated to a DVD and watched ‘Hercules’ in the hall! We even had a very special guest appearance from the Oracle Delphi….who read the children their futures from her magic water bowl!
A great day was had by all – many thanks for the effort in providing excellent outfits!
