A number of Year 5 children took recently took part in the Gloucestershire School Games Panathlon event. This event consisted of 6 different sports; Boccia, Table Cricket, Poly Bat, Football, New Age Curling and Parachute Games which was designed to  engage young people who do not usually get a chance to represent their schools.

In the first round they went to All Saints Academy to compete against other Cheltenham schools and they were delighted to win this section and all proudly returned with a gold medal and a yellow t-shirt.

They then went on to represent Cheltenham schools at the Gloucestershire final at Hartpury College, where there was  a full day of activities for the children to enjoy. They came away with a runners up medal, but enjoyed the chance to improve their skills in sports that they don’t usually get the chance to play.
