Community Links and Citizenship
We have strong links with other schools in our area and we believe that our wide ranging links to charities and other community groups helps us to develop a wider perspective for your child both in the local and international community.
In recent years we have had guest speakers from the local churches, organisations supporting refugees and cultural groups such as Ole Samba.
Our school supports a number of charitable initiatives - Donations to the Salvation Army at harvest, collections for Winston’s Wish after concerts and performances, non-uniform days for charities. Your Child will be encouraged to see themselves as global citizens and over recent years we have forged links with teachers in Kenya, Shanghai and Annecy, France.
We are very pro-active in collaborating with and working in partnership with others schools and organisations in order to improve provision for your Child. We work in partnership with other local schools.
We are also active members in the Teaching School Partnership at Balcarras and support their work creating great professional development opportunities for newly qualified teachers, middle leaders and recently qualified teachers. These opportunities improve the quality of the teaching in our school and for your child.
The quality and expertise of our teaching staff and support staff has never been better. We are proud to have achieved this. We aspire to keep on excelling in this and offering greater opportunities and encouraging wider aspirations.
We are members of several other partnerships designed to ensure that your Child has a variety of experiences during their time with us.
• University of Gloucestershire
• Cleeve Hill Cluster (Gotherington, Grangefield, Swindon Village and Gretton)
• Cheltenham Learning Partnership
• Cheltenham Sports Network
