On Tuesday 26th January, Year 6 had a very special visit from Leigh Smith, who had come to share his memories and experiences during World War 2.

The children were treated to lots of exciting anecdotes and were lucky to be able to look at some memorabilia that Grandad Leigh had brought in: including a nose cone from a bomb that he had found on the street after an air raid!

Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed his visit and are looking forward to using all this information in their topic work. A massive thank you to Grandad Leigh for his time to share his stories.
