Monday 16th October was our Greek Day celebrating the end of our history topic.
We had an opportunity to taste a variety of Greek style food such as; black and green olives, pitta and hummus, tzatziki, runny honey and Greek yoghurt.
During the morning we were able to make a Greek wreath. The wreath is traditionally worn on the head. In Ancient Greece it was given to special people, such as winners in competitions in poetry or sports, such as the Ancient Olympic Games.
We also learnt a Greek love song telling the story about Paris and Helen of Troy.
During the day we also had a booklet full of Greek activities to complete.
