Whitemoor Lakes 22nd-26th May 2017
With fantastic weather to accompany them, Year 6 children travelled up to Lichfield on Monday 22nd May for 5 action packed days at Whitemoor Lakes. After settling into their rooms, activities started in earnest and over the course of the 5 days every child had the opportunity to climb, sail, build, shoot and launch themselves off of very high platforms!
On Wednesday the group walked the short distance to the National Memorial Arboretum and spent several hours exploring the wide range of memorials set amongst the beautiful countryside. The morning was spent in quiet reflection and gave everyone the opportunity to step back from the fast pace of life.
With camp fires, evening nature walks and the essential Thursday disco, the children were kept busy from their rude awakening at 7am each morning, all the way through to bedtime at 10pm!
The week was a wonderful opportunity for staff and pupils to celebrate the end of the school year and we are confident that they will remember it for many years to come.
