Year 3 recently welcomed Nick Hollis into our classrooms via ‘Teams’. Nick is attempting to climb the highest peak of the 7 continents, ski unaided to the 2 poles and row across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the ‘721 Challenge’ (https://721challenge.com/challenge/)
With links to our “Rivers and Mountains” topic, we learnt about his experience climbing Mount Everest, his adventures around the world and what we can do to tackle climate change.
At the end of the presentation, we were able to ask lots of interesting, thoughtful questions about the challenge and things he had encountered throughout his life.
We wish Nick luck for the next stage of his challenge which will be undertaken in December.
