At Woodmancote Primary School we follow KAPOW for all of our Design and Technology lessons. All units follow the cycle of ‘design, make and evaluate’. Key technical knowledge and vocabulary is identified and shared with pupils and revisited regularly throughout each unit of work.
Key skills are revisited and refined as pupils move through the school to ensure gradual progression towards the National Curriculum and end of key stage attainment targets. These key skills are developed through units on Structures, Textiles, Mechanisms, Electrical Systems, Cooking & Nutrition and the Digital World.
