Recently, seven representatives of Woodmancote School took part in the first ever Panathlon event in Cheltenham for children in Key Stage 1.
The event, organised via our MoveMore membership, is run by the The Panathlon Challenge. This is a national charity which provides sporting opportunities for over 17,500 disabled young people each year. It is an event for our SEND pupils that promotes inclusivity in sport and gives children a chance to represent our school in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
The activities undertaken were Basketball, Boccia Blast, New Age Kurling, Parachute Popcorn, Table Cricket, Flight path, Bean Bag Throw and Polybat.
Our team of Logan, Amelia-Rose, Jenson, Phoebe, Ella, Artemis and Ben were a credit to our school. From the moment they boarded the minibus, all the way through the activities, to the time they stepped back into school, they beamed with pride and excitement. It was a pleasure to see the children give their absolute best in everything they undertook.
The team came 4th out of 8 teams and left with medals, t-shirts, certificates and great memories. Well done children you were incredible!
