As part of our “Stone Age to Iron Age” topic, Year 3 welcomed Mr Burton to their Outdoor Learning session. He taught us all about how fire can be created without matches and demonstrated how to use a bow drill. After our interest was ignited, most of us felt confident enough to use a “Ferro Rod” to safely set a piece of cotton wool on fire.
