On Tuesday 06th June, a group of Year 5 children travelled to Cheltenham Municipal Office to take part in the Cheltenham Mock Trial. Our team was acting as the prosecution trying to find the defendant guilty of a crime (possession of a bladed article). In the lead up to the day of the trial, we worked hard to prepare our case, practised giving evidence as witnesses and came up with great questions to put to the opposition. Two children also took on the role of reporter and court artist. On the day, we made a fantastic prosecution case and ended up winning the competition! It was an incredible experience and very inspiring to be in a real court room.
