Cheltenham Literature Festival
Today, a group of students attended the Cheltenham Literature Festival, an event we’ve been eagerly waiting for! We began at The Queen’s Hotel, where we participated in an exciting “murder mystery” writing workshop led by the author, Sharna Jackson. The children’s creativity was on full display as they brought their imaginations to life and developed their storytelling skills.
Following the workshop, the excitement continued as we had the opportunity to meet Peter Brown. Peter is the brilliant author and illustrator of *The Wild Robot* which is a book all of the children will have read as a ‘key text’ in Year 3. Not only did he share about his career and creative process, but he did a “draw-a-long” in which the children learned to draw their very own versions of ‘Roz’, the lovable robot from his stories.
