Our Year 6s have just returned from a fantastic trip to Whitemoor Lakes in Staffordshire. The weather was amazing and all of the children had a brilliant time.
From sailing to high ropes, children all had a go at a range of activities which were designed to develop teamwork skills and help children to face and overcome their fears. All of the groups approached the activities enthusiastically, and by the end of the week they were pushing themselves out of their comfort zone.
In the middle of the week, we had a reflective morning at the National Memorial Arboretum following up our work which we had completed on The Battle of Britain. We learnt about the importance of poppies and then had a guided tour of the site.
The week’s activities culminated with Mr Tucker showing off his amazing dancing skills at the disco.
The children were a credit to the school and we had lots of praise from instructors and other teachers about the behaviour and manners of our children. They represented the school brilliantly.
